At Home Worship: December 6, 2020
1. VERY IMPORTANT: We will be holding another week-long congregational meeting in order to approve the budget and the pastor's terms of call. Please watch the video here, check out the documents here, and email Norma Anderson if you have questions or an objection. If no objections are registered by the end of the day Saturday, Dec. 12, the budget will be passed by consensus.
2. The Christmas Shop is now open in the Shepherd's Room. The Angel Tree, Alternative Giving, a dropbox for Women's Resource Center donations, church cookbooks, ornaments, and more are available there. It's a safe, socially distanced way to get some of your Christmas shopping in! Angel Tree donations are due Dec. 13!
3. New Dublin is now podcasting! This has been a request by those with limited internet access. We will be uploading all of our usual content such as sermons and bible studies going forward - subscribe to us on your preferred podcast service here!

Profession of Faith
Question: What is your only comfort in life and death?
Answer: That I am not my own, but belong with body and soul, both in life and in
death, to my faithful Saviour Jesus Christ. He has fully paid for all my sins
with his precious blood, and has set me free from all the power of the
devil. He also preserves me in such a way that without the will of my heavenly Father not a hair can fall from my head; indeed, all things must work together for my salvation. Therefore, by his Holy Spirit he also assures me of eternal life and makes me heartily willing and ready from now on to live for him.

Guided Intercessory Prayers
This prayer might be long, or it might be short. Don’t worry about that. Focus on telling your Heavenly Father about the many needs that you’re aware of, in your life and in the world. This prayer can be broken into four major sections:
Pray for the church! What are you grateful for about the church, both as a universal body and as our local congregation of New Dublin? What does the church need? What does our congregation need? Tell God about those things. Pray for church leaders, and for churches that are suffering or facing any kind of hardship.
Pray for the world! What are you grateful for about the world? What does the world need? Pray for nations that are facing any kind of hardship, including war, sickness, injustice, or food insecurity. Pray for our particular nation and for our leaders and specific needs as a country.
Finally, pray for our own community! What are you grateful for about your own family, friends, and town? What needs are you aware of? Keep in mind what's gone out in the prayer chain this week. Feel free to pray for people by name and specific circumstances. Consider reaching out to them after worship as well.
