"The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one..." John 17:22
Hymn: The Church's One Foundation
Eternal God, you have called us to be members of one body. Join us with those who in all times and places have praised your name, that, with one heart and mind, we may show the unity of your church, and bring honor to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Sermon The Holy Catholic Church?
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
Guided Intercessory Prayer
This prayer might be long, or it might be short. Don’t worry about that. Focus on telling your Heavenly Father about the many needs that you’re aware of, in your life and in the world. This prayer can be broken into four major sections:
Pray for the church! What are you grateful for about the church, both as a universal body and as our local congregation of New Dublin? What does the church need? What does our congregation need? Tell God about those things. Pray for church leaders, and for churches that are suffering or facing any kind of hardship.
Pray for the world! What are you grateful for about the world? What does the world need? Pray for nations that are facing any kind of hardship, including war, sickness, injustice, or food insecurity. Pray for our particular nation, and for our leaders and specific needs as a country.
Finally, pray for our own community! What are you grateful for about your own family, friends, and town? What needs are you aware of? Keep in mind what's gone out in the prayer chain this week. Feel free to pray for people by name and specific circumstances. Consider reaching out to them after worship as well.

Hymn: For All The Saints
God, good beyond all that is good, fair beyond all that is fair, in you is calmness, peace, and concord. Heal the dissensions that divide us from one another and bring us back to a unity of love bearing some likeness to your divine nature. Through the embrace of love and the bonds of godly affection, make us one in the Spirit by your peace which makes all things peaceful. We ask this through the grace, mercy, and tenderness of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
